Primark launches its first range of jeans made with 100% sustainable cotton

Primark has launched its first ever range of jeans made from 100% sustainable cotton. Produced in three different washes (indigo, black and light blue), the women’s skinny jeans will be sold in stores across all markets, at a cost of £13/€17. Primark’s customers are looking for amazing fashion at an affordable price, and this range is no different.

Primark own-brand cosmetics officially certified cruelty free

We are proud to announce that own-brand cosmetics at Primark have been awarded coveted Leaping Bunny status by Cruelty Free International, the gold standard certification programme for products that are free from animal testing.

Primark joins Ellen MacArthur Foundation’s Make Fashion Circular initiative

Primark has become a Participant in the Ellen MacArthur Foundation’s Make Fashion Circular initiative, which is aiming to radically redesign the fashion industry by creating a circular economy for fashion around the world. This represents one part of Primark’s environmental sustainability programme which it is undertaking to reduce its impact on the environment.

Support provided by Primark since the Rana Plaza building collapse in Bangladesh

Paul Lister, responsible for Primark’s Ethical Trade and Environmental Sustainability Team, said: “Five years on from the Rana Plaza building collapse in Bangladesh, Primark continues to support those who were affected and over the period has contributed a total of over $14 million in aid and compensation. In June 2017 Primark signed the 2018 Transition Accord, reaffirming Primark’s commitment to collaborate with other brands, factory owners, NGOs, trade unions and the Government of Bangladesh to bring about sustainable positive change in the Bangladeshi garment industry.”
